Join our team.
We are educators, researchers, policy makers, community members, and parents with different stories who are all pushing toward the same idea: to do all we can so that a dramatically different education system emerges—one that enables all of America’s young people to live lives of purpose and hope.

Research Analyst
We are seeking a thoughtful, dynamic, and creative Research Analyst to join our Research and Evaluation team.
This teammate will contribute equally to two main areas of work:
- the NCEE Programmatic Benchmarking Cycle and
- a key set of projects in the broader NCEE research agenda, including Top Performers and Rapid Risers, the AI Guidelines scan, and related initiatives.

Policy Analyst
Are you an experienced education policy professional who is inspired by possibilities? Creative, agile, and willing to take risks? Eager to hear different perspectives? Detail-oriented and evidence-based? We want to hear from you.
The Policy Analyst is a key contributor to NCEE’s diverse and dynamic Policy team. Tasks include researching and drafting policy briefs, piloting new tools, contributing to project management, and performing analysis that informs complex statewide policy redesign efforts.

Lead Analyst: Evaluation
We are seeking a new team member for our Research and Evaluation team who is:
- Passionate about the intersection of evaluation and complex systems
- Analytical, strategic, and eager to solve complex challenges with data and evidence

Betsy Brown Ruzzi Fellowship
The BBR Fellowship was created in honor of Betsy Brown Ruzzi, who spent most of her career at NCEE leading our benchmarking and policy work and tragically passed away in 2022. She was committed to ensuring that all students have access to world-class schools. She attended George Washington University for graduate school, so this fellowship opportunity is open to graduate students currently attending GW. Fellows work with our Policy and Research & Evaluation teams to support our international benchmarking and state policy work. If you’d like us to contact you when applications re-open, please fill out the form at the link below.
