Finland’s teacher training schools are public schools that follow the national curriculum but have the flexibility to organize schedules and classrooms specifically to allow student-teachers and mentors time for feedback and collaboration without interrupting the learning time of students. Each of these schools is affiliated with a university. As prospective teachers try new practices, they can complete research on their effectiveness and potentially publish the results.
