Vicksburg Warren School District built its vision around a clear goal: every student should graduate with a plan for what comes next. Through its partnership with NCEE, the district built a shared vision and aligned leadership and practice across the system around four pathways, known as the Four Es:
- Enrollment in postsecondary education,
- Employment in a field that provides a livable wage,
- Enlistment in the U.S. Armed Forces, or
- Entrepreneurship.
The district then turned that vision into action through partnerships with local businesses, higher education, families, and community organizations. Today, students in Vicksburg Warren can choose from career academies, dual-credit courses, internships, apprenticeships, job shadowing, industry experiences, and opportunities to launch their own businesses.
