Meeting Overview
Sunday, September 18
Please plan to arrive by 4:00 PM Pacific. Once you’re there, we’ll have an evening reception and optional, low-stress activities to help you meet other attendees and deepen your connections with the Collaborative community.
Monday, September 19
Monday will begin with opening remarks to set the stage for our time together, followed by an exploration of how deep learning and well-being are intertwined. We will then move into a facilitated examination of research and resources—all vetted and curated by NCEE—that address those issues.
We will continue the day with focused discussions and activities that are designed to ensure that you come away with concrete ideas to help you lead for learning and well-being in the face of great volatility after you return to your district.
Tuesday, September 20
You will push yourself further on Tuesday first by planning how to work with your team to answer our guiding question. We will have opportunities for receiving feedback from your peers and NCEE staff as well. Unlike a typical conference, our Retreat ensures that your learning is laser-focused on your unique context, your challenges, and the knowledge you carry with you as a result of your partnership with us. You will leave with a clear idea of where to go next with your team.
We will end the retreat with lunch and closing remarks, which will conclude no later than 1:00.
Across All Three Days
Each day, we will have optional activities to help you recharge and deepen your connections within the Collaborative. In particular, we hope you’ll take advantage of the opportunities to get to know your Small Network Group on a deeper level.
