Our State Partners

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania requires novice principals to complete the Pennsylvania Inspired Leaders (PIL) program to receive their Level II Certification. At the core of the PIL program is the NISL curriculum, delivered by Pennsylvania Intermediate Units and other partners at eight regional sites. NCEE has also worked with other states and districts to assure that NISL participants receive professional learning units or credit towards locally-required professional development.

University professors who are NCEE-certified facilitators may deliver NISL and award credentials, a model that the state of Minnesota used with the University of Minnesota. In Mississippi, NCEE maintains a relationship with the University of Mississippi and provides training to nearby districts.
