Eric Jones is the director of Professional Learning at NCEE. Mr. Jones has previously worked as a Resident Faculty member at NCEE’s National Institute for School Leadership. Between these two appointments, Mr. Jones served as Director of Schools for Madison County School in Jackson Tennessee. Under his leadership, the district adopted curriculum for all core subjects and implemented a comprehensive literacy-based instructional framework that led to 70 percent of grade levels meeting or exceeding growth in ELA and sustained improvement in a majority of grade bands/subject areas. Mr. Jones has also worked as a principal at three high schools: Liberty Technology Magnet High school and Jackson-Central Merry Academy of Medical Technology, both in Jackson, TN, and J.O. Johnson High School in Huntsville, AL. During his tenure at Jackson-Central Merry Academy of Medical Technology, Mr. Jones helped improve the graduation rate from 57 percent in 2008 to 91.3 percent in 2012.
