Susan Rucker

Susan M. Rucker works with the National Institute for School Leadership as the State Coordinator for the state of Mississippi. In this role she serves as the facilitator of all work in Mississippi which includes marketing, recruiting, coordinating grants, and serving as a Master Facilitator for the Executive Development Program, the NISL Academy Program, and institutes in the areas of Students With Disabilities, Instructional Coaching, Instructional Leadership, CCR Literacy, CCR Mathematics, Parental and Community Engagement, Early Childhood, and English Language Learners.  Prior to serving in this role, Dr. Rucker served as a teacher, building level principal for grades K-12, Curriculum Director for the State of MS, Associate State Superintendent for Academic Education, and the Deputy State Superintendent for Instructional Programs at the Mississippi Department of Education. In addition to extensive teaching and administrative experience in K-12, Susan has teaching experience at Delta State University and the University of Mississippi in the areas of educational leadership and curriculum.
