As we look around the corner to the occupations of tomorrow, schools and states will need to be more dynamic and future oriented–especially when it comes to career and technical education. – Vicki Phillips in Forbes

The best performing education systems have become nimble, responsive, resilient.

This week, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) released its annual Education at a Glance report that examines the learning outcomes, the policy levers and contextual factors that shape these outcomes, and the broader private and social returns of investments in education. NCEE President and CEO Anthony Mackay was joined by OECD Director for Education and Skills Andreas Schleicher for a webinar to take an in-depth look at findings from Education at a Glance 2020 and implications for U.S. schools and school systems stemming from the report. During the webinar, Schleicher highlighted the many ways the coronavirus pandemic has impacted education and provided insight on the characteristics of education systems that were best-positioned to respond.
